Little Havana Dog Grooming FAQs
How close is Barky Lounge to Little Havana?
We’re a short drive northeast in Edgewater, on NE 18th Street just east of Biscayne Boulevard.
Is there parking at the salon?
Yes. Parking is free on site, and both the lot and the entrance are wheelchair accessible.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes. Gift cards are available in any amount. Ask in store or call (786) 409-2885.
How often should I get my dog groomed?
Most dogs are best groomed every 4 to 6 weeks. Long haired and curly breeds like Poodles and Doodles usually need every 4 weeks to prevent mats, and short coated dogs can often wait 6 to 8 weeks.
How long does a grooming appointment take?
Grooming generally takes 2 to 3 hours, depending on your dog’s size, coat condition and services. We groom one dog at a time, so we text you as soon as yours is ready.
Do I need an appointment?
Booking ahead is recommended, and full grooms, especially for large dogs, need an appointment. With a full grooming team, we can often accommodate you on short notice. Call or text (786) 409-2885, or book online.
Walk-ins depend on the day and our schedule. Nail trims and quick services are welcome when we have room. For same-day grooming, call us at 9:00 AM when we open. Same-day grooms are treated as walk-ins and may take longer, and full-groom walk-ins usually can’t be taken later in the day. Small dog baths are the most flexible.
Do you offer same-day grooming?
Sometimes, based on availability. Call at 9:00 AM when we open to check. Same-day grooms are treated as walk-ins and may take longer than a booked visit, and we generally can’t take full-groom walk-ins late in the day. Small dog baths are most flexible, and large dog availability changes daily.
What if my dog is matted?
We inspect your dog’s coat at drop off. Light mats can usually be brushed out safely with our dematting service. If mats are tight to the skin, brushing would cause pain, so we’ll recommend a shave down and talk it through with you before we begin.
Do you groom senior dogs or nervous dogs?
Yes. Our stylists specialize in one on one and geriatric grooming. Senior dogs get breaks and additional support, and nervous dogs are groomed at a slower pace. Let us know at booking so we can plan the right amount of time.
Do you groom large and extra large breeds?
Yes. We groom every size through XXL, including double coated breeds like Huskies, Shepherds and Golden Retrievers.
How much does dog grooming cost near Little Havana?
Baths start at $50, and bath and haircut packages start at $70. Final pricing depends on size, coat type and coat condition, and we’ll confirm the price with you at drop off before starting.
What vaccinations do you require?
We require every dog to have a current rabies vaccination. Please send or bring a copy of the record before your appointment.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance. We understand things come up, so we’re flexible the first time. After another late cancellation or missed visit, future appointments will need to be prepaid. Thank you for helping us keep the schedule fair for every dog.
