Midtown Miami Dog Grooming FAQs
How close is Barky Lounge to Midtown Miami?
Just a few minutes south in Edgewater. Head down Biscayne Boulevard or NE 2nd Avenue to NE 18th Street, and you’ll find us just east of Biscayne.
Is there parking?
Yes. Parking is free on site, and both the lot and the entrance are wheelchair accessible.
What add-ons do you offer?
Popular add-ons include hand scissoring ($75 per hour), hair dye (from 25),facetrims(15) and blueberry facials ($10). Dematting and deshedding are also available.
How often should I get my dog groomed?
For most dogs, grooming every 4 to 6 weeks keeps the coat in good shape. Poodles, Doodles and other long or curly coated breeds generally need it every 4 weeks to prevent mats, while short coated dogs can often go 6 to 8 weeks.
How long does a grooming appointment take?
Expect 2 to 3 hours, depending on your dog’s size, coat condition and the services you’ve booked. We groom one dog at a time and text you once yours is ready.
Do I need an appointment?
Booking ahead is recommended, and full grooms, especially for large dogs, require an appointment. With a full team of groomers, we can often find a slot on short notice. Call or text (786) 409-2885, or book online.
Walk-ins depend on how busy the day is. Nail trims and other quick services are welcome whenever possible. For same-day grooming, call at 9:00 AM when we open. Same-day grooms are treated as walk-ins, so they can take longer, and full-groom walk-ins generally aren’t available later in the day. Small dog baths are usually the most flexible.
Do you offer same-day grooming?
On some days, yes. Call at 9:00 AM when we open to check availability. Same-day grooms are walk-ins, so they can take longer than scheduled visits, and full-groom walk-ins usually aren’t possible late in the day. Small dog baths offer the most flexibility, and large dog availability varies.
What if my dog is matted?
We check the coat when you drop off. Light mats can usually be brushed out safely with our dematting service. If the mats are tight to the skin, brushing would be painful, so we’ll recommend a shave down and go over it with you first.
Do you groom senior dogs or nervous dogs?
Yes. Our stylists specialize in one on one and geriatric grooming. Senior dogs get breaks and added support, and nervous dogs are groomed more slowly. Let us know when booking so we can plan the right amount of time.
Do you groom large and extra large breeds?
Yes. We groom every size through XXL, including double coated breeds like Huskies, Shepherds and Golden Retrievers.
How much does dog grooming cost near Midtown Miami?
Baths start at $50, and bath and haircut packages start at $70. Final pricing depends on your dog’s size, coat type and coat condition, and we confirm it at drop off before we begin.
What vaccinations do you require?
Every dog needs to be current on their rabies vaccination. Please send or bring the vaccination record before your appointment.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours’ notice. We understand plans change, so we’re flexible the first time. If a late cancellation or no-show happens again, future appointments will need to be paid ahead of time. Thanks for helping us keep the schedule fair for every dog.
