Dog Hair Cutting in Miami, FL
Most haircut problems start before the clippers come out. A coat that is still damp at the roots, or has knots sitting under the top layer, will not cut evenly no matter how good the groomer is. So we wash, dry fully and give the whole coat a proper brush out first, every time.
From there, the cut is yours to choose. Some owners want a specific breed shape, some want practical and short for the Miami heat, some want the face left long and the body taken down. Tell us at drop off, or send a photo ahead of time and we will tell you honestly whether your dog’s coat will hold it.

“If the coat is matted”: We check the coat at drop off. Light matting brushes out with our dematting service. Do you cut dogs short for the summer?
Yes, but not on every coat. Double coated breeds like Huskies and Shepherds should not be shaved, because the coat protects them from the sun and helps them cool. For those we recommend dog deshedding instead. More on double coat dog grooming.
