Grooming an older dog is mostly about what you take out of the appointment. Long periods standing. Being lifted repeatedly. A loud dryer behind a dog who cannot hear it coming. A full groom done in one unbroken stretch.
We replace those with short working periods, breaks lying down, support under the body where a dog cannot hold themselves up, and a dryer introduced from the front. If your dog has arthritis, a heart condition, sight loss or anything else, tell us when you book and we build the appointment around it. We are groomers, not vets, so if something looks wrong on the skin or in the ears we will show you and say so.

No. Pricing is by size and coat, the same as any dog. The breaks and the slower pace are part of the service.
My dog cannot stand for long. Can you still groom him?
Yes. We support dogs who cannot hold themselves up and work in short stretches with breaks lying down. Tell us when you book so we plan the time.
What if my dog gets distressed partway through?
We stop. We finish what matters most for their comfort, usually the sanitary area, nails and face, and explain the rest at pick up. We never push an older dog to complete a haircut. If they seem unsettled at home afterwards, see why your dog may act differently after grooming.
Should an older dog have a shorter cut?
