A big dog is not a small dog with more hair. The bath takes longer, the dry takes much longer, and a dog that outweighs the groomer has to be handled rather than moved. Most salons handle that by capping the size they accept, or by booking two large dogs into the same slot and leaving one in a kennel.
We do it by taking one dog at a time, with one on one grooming in Miami. Your Shepherd is not sharing the dryer, the table or the groomer’s attention with anyone. That is slower, which is why large dogs are priced higher, but it is also why we can take sizes other salons turn away.

Will you shave my Husky for the summer?
No. Shaving a double coat removes the layer that keeps the sun off and helps your dog cool, and it often grows back patchy. Deshedding is what that coat needs.
How long does a large dog groom take?

Can I walk in with a large dog?
For a nail trim, yes, when there is space. For a bath or full groom, book ahead online. Large dogs need the slot blocked out.
My dog is nervous around other dogs. Is that an issue?
